In VERDURAS Y HORTALIZAS EL RAAL SL we are developing a research project that basically consists of “PRE AND POST-HARVEST TOOLS FOR THE MARKETING OF ECOLOGICAL CUTTED PEPPER.”

The main objective of this project is to establish the necessary conditions for the commercialization of organic pepper, for this, it will be necessary to develop the organic cultivation of the pepper so that it has a quality suitable for processing, and to innovate in the process in order to meet the requirements of quality and appearance of your current customers and consumers. The result of this project will give rise to an organic pepper with the same appearance and quality as the conventional one, incorporating it sliced ​​mainly on meat skewers. When serving the peppers manipulated and not frozen with pre-cut in sheets or final cut in square, its useful life suffers, therefore this useful life should be increased.

The project is under development and its completion is expected in 2021, its execution will involve an investment of approximately 330,000 euros, it has been developed with the help of the Center for Industrial Technological Development (CDTI) of the Ministry of Industry, Economy and Competitiveness, and co-financed by the European Union (FEDER Funds) through the Pluriregional Operational Program of Spain (2014-2020)
